Catch a Falling Star.

I'm going to start this post off by saying that I have an obsession. It is Hayao Miyazaki movies such as Castle in the Sky, Princess Monoke, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Nausica: Valley of the Wind and my current favorite, Howl's Moving Castle. I always said that Castle in the Sky was my favorite, and I will forever love it entirely, but watching Howl's Moving Castle again makes me realize the beauty it holds. I always loved the movie since the first time I watched it. I used to dream about Howl's secret study with all the beautiful flowers. It was a whole Avatar (blue people) experience. After I fell in love with the movie I read the book. It has been my favorite book since I read it in about 7th grade. As some of you may know, I go to Prendie which was on strike for the first two weeks of school. During that time I kept myself busy with my clay creations. But you want to know what movie I watched three times in the same week? Howl's Moving Castle. It was perfect inspiration for painting and inspired me to make this next set of earrings. If you have never watched or read Howl's Moving Castle, you should skip over this nect paragraph until you watch or read it.
So, a big element of the story is when the main character Howl caught a faling star as a child. This star was later known as Calcifer. Much more things goes into why Calcifer is what he is, and you will only really know it all if you read the amazing book, so I would recommend you to. But also watch the movie, for it is beautiful. So, here is my Howl's Moving Castle inspired earrings. Enjoy(:

Nothing too spectacular, just a yellow star. But I think it's simple & I absolutely love it.

When I get bored I paint my desk, I think it added pizazz to the earring (:
(Did I spell pizazz right? ahaha)
